Meet local farmers, cook with seasonal ingredients, and gain the confidence to turn your farmers market finds into delicious meals at home.
Farmers Market Finds is a hands-on culinary experience that brings the farm to your cutting board. In each session, a local urban farmer shares the story of their farm and introduces students to the seasonal produce available in their CSA shares or at local markets. You'll learn how to prepare delicious, flavorful recipes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients—and leave with the knowledge and inspiration to shop more confidently at farmers markets and support your local food system. It’s a celebration of community, sustainability, and the joy of cooking with what’s in season.
This month, cook and learn with Jenna Foor of MidMod Urban Farm.
Meet Your Farmer, Jenna Foor
Jenna Foor is a Florida native with 25 years experience working in the food service industry. She has a degree in the culinary arts and is the owner/operator of a small urban farm in Winter Park, Florida that also sells baked goods made with organic, local ingredients. She believes that sustainable, regenerative agriculture is attainable in an urban setting and that anyone can grow their own food in one form or another with very low cost. Having two toddlers, Jenna realized how important it is for children to know where their food comes from and how essential it is for them to learn healthy eating habits from a young age.
