Betsy Gwinn

Co-Executive Director

Betsy Gwinn joined the team as Interim Director at the beginning of 2024, and we must have fed her well because she decided to stay! Betsy is a nonprofit leader with broad experience in strategic planning, fundraising, governance, and executive leadership. She recently served as Executive Director of the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park, Interim Director of Orlando Shakespeare Theater and as a Coach for the Edyth Bush Institute at Rollins College. In addition to this shared leadership role at The Kitchen House is Principal of BG Impact, a nonprofit leadership consulting company and works throughout Central Florida.

Sara Elliott

Sara Elliott is a proven champion of sustainable food systems. A creative nonprofit executive with 20 years of experience creating strategies and programs for change, Sara most recently  served as Senior Advisor and Executive Director of the 4Roots Farm Campus. Sara has also advanced food and environmental education as the Director of Programs at the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, and as Director of Signature Marketing Projects at The Nature Conservancy. We are thrilled to evolve our educational programs under her guidance. With perfectly complementary skill sets and backgrounds from our new Co-Executive Directors, The Kitchen House is in for an exciting season of growth. 

Juliana Calloway

Juliana Calloway is a hospitality professional with a passion for food, community, and education. As co-owner of Black Rooster Taqueria, she has built one of Orlando’s most vibrant restaurants, fostering local partnerships and creating memorable dining experiences. Using her background in hotel and restaurant management, team leadership, marketing and event planning, Juliana is growing The Kitchen House’s community network and host of program offerings.

Susan Tayloe

Finance Manager

Susan manages The Kitchen House’s internal finances as Finance Manager. Working closely with the Executive Directors, she helps shape our daily operations and administration. As a Master Gardener with a background in finance, Susan found the perfect place to share her skills.

Megan Amnott

Program Manager

As Program Manager, Chef Megan tackles the planning and logistics of The Kitchen House’s programming, involving recruiting and collaborating with contracted educators and instructing our students in exciting hands-on cooking lessons in The Kitchen House.

As Development & Communications Coordinator, Britt has multiple roles at The Kitchen House. Working closely with Betsy, she seeks funding opportunities and manages grants. Britt also has the pleasure of coordinating our superb team of volunteers, and executing our marketing plan. Passionate about food and how it brings people together, she is all about introducing community members to The Kitchen House and exploring how we can all make an impact.

Michelle Rosica

Kitchen House Manager

Michelle joined The Kitchen House team as the Kitchen House Manager in July of 2024. Previously, she held various positions in some of Orlando’s most beloved plant-based restaurants. Her passion for seed-to-table eating and supporting the local community melds perfectly with her background in the restaurant industry to ensure The Kitchen House remains functional and inviting for everyone.

Jenna Foor

Garden Manager

Jenna has a degree in the culinary arts and is the owner/operator of MidMod Urban Farm. She’s dedicated herself to proving that sustainable, regenerative agriculture is attainable in an urban setting and that anyone can grow their own food. As Garden Manager at The Kitchen House, she plans seasonal planting to provide abundant produce for educational programming, Garden Box CSAs, and donations to community partners. She also develops and delivers garden education that connects our students with the natural world.

Blake Herndon

Program Lead

Blake graduated from Le Cordon Bleu London and 2024 and gained experience working in biodynamic market gardens and Michelin-recognized fine dining restaurants. Rooted in formative experiences shucking corn and shelling peas with his grandparents in North Florida, his mission is to share the joy and connection of good nutrition, regenerative provenance, and wellbeing. As Program Lead, he coordinates The Kitchen House’s stellar team of educators, staff, and volunteers to bring you garden-to-kitchen experiences that change the way you think about food.

Stacey Soll

With a background in health and wellness and a passion for cooking and gardening, Stacey brings her expertise to both the kitchen and garden in her role at The Kitchen House. She embodies the seed-to-table cycle as Kitchen & Garden Assistant and finds joy in empowering students.

Nic Gonzalez

Nic is earning his Masters in Global Sustainability from USF, with a concentration in food sustainability. He’s supporting our pilot program with the City of Orlando’s Office of Sustainability & Resilience and U.S. Hunger, providing culinary education and food access resources to youth involved in the Rock Lake Neighborhood Center afterschool gardening program.

Peyton Scheaffer

Intern

Peyton is earning her Bachelor degree in Environmental Science with a certification in Geographic Information Systems at the University of Central Florida. At The Kitchen House, she is learning about our sustainable agricultural practices and working to keep the Culinary Garden an abundant resource for learning.
