Kids Cooking Club

  • The Kitchen House 26 East King Street Orlando, FL, 32804 United States (map)

The tastiest of extracurricular activities—Kids Cooking Club grows kids’ skills in the garden and kitchen throughout a 9-week afterschool series.

Afterschool fun

In this 9-week afterschool series, kids dig into the fundamentals of gardening and cooking. Young learners will explore where food comes from in our culinary garden, practice essential cooking skills in the kitchen, and prepare delicious, plant-forward recipes they’ll be excited to recreate at home. Through playful hands-on learning and real-life experience, they’ll build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of fresh, wholesome food.

Meet Your Educator, Jenna Foor

Jenna Foor is a Florida native with 25 years experience working in the food service industry. She has a degree in culinary arts and is the owner/operator of a small urban farm in Winter Park, Florida that also sells baked goods made with organic, local ingredients. She believes that sustainable, regenerative agriculture is attainable in an urban setting and that anyone can grow their own food in one form or another with very low cost. Having two toddlers, Jenna realized how important it is for children to know where their food comes from and how essential it is for them to learn healthy eating habits from a young age.
