Simple Starts: Edible Flowers Workshop

A Seed to Table Gardening Series with Dr. Laura Varich

Saturday, April 5th, 2025 at Edible Education Experience 26 E King St. Orlando, FL 32804

9:30AM - 10:30AM

$25/participant (13+ years old)

Start small, grow big—Simple Starts makes it easy to bring fresh, homegrown flavors into your life, no garden required.

You don’t need a big backyard or a green thumb to start growing fresh ingredients at home. Simple Starts is designed for anyone looking to take the first step in growing their own food—whether it’s herbs on a windowsill, greens in a container, or sprouts on a kitchen counter. With easy, approachable techniques, you’ll gain the confidence to grow something fresh, no matter your space or experience level. Because every small start leads to something bigger.

This April, we’re beautifying everything we eat with edible flowers! Learn about types of flowers you can grow in Florida and use as a garnish, taste some pretty bites, and start your own edible flower pot to take home.

This enjoyable and interactive workshop will be led by one of our Culinary Educators, Dr. Laura Varich. She went from Radiologist to Lifestyle Medicine Physician when she discovered the immense power of food for preventing disease and protecting our health. She is passionate about sharing evidence-based information to propel you to your best health.

**Please be aware, no refunds for cancellations made within 5 days of the class date. If the class does not reach the minimum number of students (10) by registration close date, subject to cancellation by EEE with full refund.
