GOOD FOOD CAMPAIGN
Will you help us grow our hands-on food education to serve even more students in 2026?
Did You Know?
Today 70% of American youth and teen diets consist of ultra-processed foods. Our eating habits have caused a rise in lifelong physical and mental health challenges–type 2 diabetes, hypertension, asthma, obesity, and more.

Why The Kitchen House?
We make learning fun and delicious. As students build excitement harvesting fresh food from the garden and cooking together in the kitchen, they gain practical skills they can use at home with their families. We know that healthy eating behaviors adopted in childhood are likely to continue through adolescence and adulthood.
new changemaker series
new community partners
Here’s what the Central Florida community is saying about their time at The Kitchen House.
“This was not just educational–it was life changing.” – Teacher Academy attendee
“If I had bought eggplant at the store my kids would have judged it and probably avoided it, but the magic of your kitchen, volunteers, and letting them harvest it and chop it themselves opened their minds and made me feel like I’m winning in the constant struggle to eat healthy and try new things.” – Family Night class parent
“The hands-on exposure to farm-to-table preparation was such a valuable experience for my daughter, and it was great to see her try new things with enthusiasm. She’s already talking about cooking some of the recipes she made during camp — which, coming from a picky eater, says a lot!” – Summer Camp parent
“Cooking in a social environment was an emotional reset and really enhanced my desire to create a healthy work-life balance.” —Culinary Medicine student
“If you cook it at The Kitchen House, you’ll cook it at home.” – Orlando Junior Academy 6th grade student
Food builds community. And community helps us grow. In 2026, we want to offer new ways to connect with real food, and grow our grant-funded partnerships to help low-income families eat well for a lifetime.
