Studio Ghibli Anime Eats & Treats Day Camp

  • The Kitchen House 26 East King Street Orlando, FL, 32804 United States (map)

Make the most of school breaks with hands-on adventures where kids discover the joy of growing and preparing food and learn skills they’ll use for a lifetime.

Ignite curiosity and creativity this holiday break with our immersive education experiences that bring the magic of the garden and kitchen to life! Students dive into hands-on projects inspired by nature, exploring how food, art, and science connect in unexpected ways. From exploring plants in the garden to crafting edible creations, each day offers new adventures designed to inspire young minds and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the world around them.

Anime in the Kitchen

There’s nothing cozier than a meal served up anime-style. This hands-on cooking camp is inspired by the cooking culture in Studio Ghibli films, where food is deeply connected to the natural world and storytelling shines through cuisine. Students will learn to thoughtfully select seasonal ingredients they harvest themselves and build real kitchen confidence by cooking flavorful recipes together. An ideal camp for a creative kid!

Meet your Culinary Educator, Sarah Bousfield

Over the past 12 years she has travelled the world cooking at archaeological sites and museums, bringing to life prehistoric and historic recipes. Sarah is a current MA Public History graduate student at the University of Central Florida where she continues her love of foodways through research on the Industrial Revolution and its impacts on kitchen technology.
