Health Through Food blends the latest medical research with practical, hands-on learning to show how simple lifestyle and nutrition choices can help boost longevity and support vibrant health. Each class translates powerful science into everyday techniques you can use in the kitchen, garden, and beyond—empowering you to take charge of your body and increase energy at every stage of life. Through engaging discussions and cooking demonstrations, participants will discover how joyful, accessible, and impactful healthy living can be.

Good food, good mood

What we eat affects how we feel! Let’s explore the connection between nutrition and mental wellbeing at this session of Health Through Food, with engaging culinary demonstrations that use approachable and delicious ingredients and techniques to support mood, focus, and emotional resilience. With simple science and a light bite to share, this class will inspire you to slow down, connect, and reflect on how food can be a tool for self-care.

Meet your Culinary Educator, Camila Figueiredo

Camila’s adventures in the kitchen started at a young age, making banana brownies that resembled hockey pucks and inspired the only lie her mom ever told her: “They’re very good, honey!” As a Registered Dietitian, Camila’s love for finding the fun in food has flourished and integrated with a strong belief in the power of food in health and wellbeing. Camila is passionate about educating and empowering clients and communities to use food as a source of wellness, sustainability, and connection.
