Chef’s Table Experience
You’ve tasted the best fried chicken at JAM Hot in Winter Park. Now tag along with Chef Andrew for a culinary excursion overseas. Rooted in family history, Chef Andrew is cooking up an “Italian-ish” concept to debut at The Kitchen House. “Bone For Tuna”—a lucky play on the Italian buona fortuna—is a pop-up series serving classic Italian fare. This kickoff at The Kitchen House will feature herbs and produce from the Culinary Garden in each delicious dish.
Meet your chef, Andrew Scala
Chef Andrew’s been a foodie as long as he can remember. Raised in Orlando, he was rolling grape leaves with mom and frying cutlets with dad since he was old enough to see over the counter. In 2018, he went all in and started developing JAM Hot Chicken from pop ups to a little chicken shack called home. Now, he’s cracking open the Italian playbook with his new project, “Bone For Tuna,” a play on the Italian phrase for good luck, Buona Fortuna.
