Former television chef, Andy Bates lives by the moto, “Fewer, better ingredients that are well prepared.” Heralding from London, England, Andy learnt his trade in France, as a pastry chef, before heading back to the UK to pursue his love for British cooking.
Passionately producing classics like Scotch eggs, Cornish pasties, custard tarts, to name a few, Andy’s company, “Eat my Pies” sparked the taste buds of the British public and the newly nicknamed “Pie Man, soon attracted the attention of the media. Snapped up by The Food Network Channel, Andy embarked on a whirlwind tour around the world, filming three successful series; the shows capturing his passion for not just the street food but the people behind the recipes as he travelled through Europe and the Americas.
As a result, becoming an expert in world cuisine with regular appearances on the culinary circuit, and the book shelves, with a recipe book being published showcasing his talents. Now residing permanently in Central Florida, His catering company, ‘Andy Bates Chef’ takes inspiration from his travels specializing in fine dining, tasting menus, grazing tables from around the world and of course, like a true Englishman, great Fish & Chips!!
